“Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?” — Psalm 85:6
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, asking for the awakening of Your Church.
Lord, awaken us from spiritual dullness. Wake us from distraction, compromise, comfort, pride, and routine religion. Shake us from every place where we have grown cold, familiar, and unmoved by Your presence. Forgive us for the ways we have carried Your name without carrying Your heart. Forgive us for preaching without trembling, worshiping without surrender, serving without holiness, and gathering without truly seeking You.
Father, revive Your people again.
Awaken pastors, leaders, teachers, and shepherds. Let them not minister from empty places or perform before people while neglecting Your presence. Fill them afresh with conviction, purity, courage, wisdom, and holy fear. Guard them from compromise, ambition, pride, and self-reliance. Raise up leaders who love truth more than popularity, holiness more than platform, and obedience more than applause.
Lord, awaken churches that have become spiritually sleepy. Breathe life into dry places. Rekindle first love where it has faded. Restore hunger for Your Word, reverence in worship, power in prayer, and boldness in witness. Let Your people no longer be content with shallow faith, lifeless gatherings, or Christianity shaped more by culture than by Christ. Call Your Church back to repentance, to holiness, to truth, and to deep devotion.
We ask You to break the grip of apathy. Break the spirit of compromise. Break the fear of man. Break every chain of worldliness, division, bitterness, jealousy, and pride that has weakened the witness of the Church. Heal what has been fractured. Cleanse what has been defiled. Expose what has been hidden. Purify Your house, Lord, not to destroy it, but to restore it.
Father, awaken us to the reality of eternity. Remind us that people are perishing, that truth matters, that sin destroys, and that Jesus Christ is still the only Savior. Keep the Church from drifting into entertainment, performance, political idolatry, or empty religion. Let us not be a people who know the language of faith but lack the fire of Your Spirit. Let us not speak of revival while resisting repentance.
Pour out a fresh spirit of prayer on Your people. Teach the Church to seek You again with desperation, sincerity, and faith. Raise up intercessors. Stir prayer meetings. Call families back to prayer. Call young people to prayer. Call leaders to prayer. Let prayer become more than a formality. Let it become the cry of a people who know they cannot survive without You.
Lord, awaken us to love one another rightly. Where there is division, bring unity. Where there is suspicion, bring grace. Where there is woundedness, bring healing. Where there is coldness, bring compassion. Let the Church reflect the heart of Christ with humility, truth, mercy, and courage. Make us one, not by ignoring truth, but by being deeply rooted in it.
We pray for a holy boldness to return to the Church. Let believers stop hiding their faith, softening the Gospel, and shrinking back from obedience. Fill us with courage to stand for truth in an age of confusion. Give us grace to speak with conviction and love. Make us faithful witnesses in our homes, in our communities, in our workplaces, and among the nations.
Father, awaken prodigals. Wake up those who have wandered. Stir those who have grown numb. Call back those who have drifted from fellowship, from prayer, from truth, and from obedience. Let the backslider return. Let the weary be renewed. Let the wounded be healed. Let the lukewarm be stirred. Let dead places come alive again by the power of Your Spirit.
And Lord, let awakening begin with us. Search us. Expose our own sins, our own idols, our own compromises, and our own spiritual laziness. Do not let us pray for the Church in general while refusing to be changed ourselves. Revive us personally. Make us tender toward sin, hungry for righteousness, and alive to Your voice. Let true awakening start in our own hearts before it spreads to our churches, our cities, and our nation.
We know, Lord, that no strategy, no program, no conference, and no human effort can produce true awakening. Only You can do that. Only You can breathe on dry bones and make them live. Only You can turn hearts of stone into hearts of flesh. Only You can set Your Church on fire again with love for Christ, reverence for truth, and compassion for the lost.
So we ask You, in mercy, do it again.
Awaken the Church.
Revive Your people.
Purify Your bride.
Glorify Your Son.
Let Jesus Christ be exalted in the Church again—not just with our words, but with our lives. And let this awakening produce repentance, holiness, salvation, courage, and deep joy in the Holy Spirit.
We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus,
Amen.
